I say those three words as an expression of my feelings. There are different levels of 'I love you' When I say I love you to my dog...that's one level.
But, when I say 'I love you' to my love...it means a myriad of things. It doesn't mean I am in love with you...it means I love a lot of the things about you as the person you are. I'm getting a little deeper than you probably wanted...huh?

No, to me they are not just three words. When I end a conversation with any close family member, whether on the phone or in person, we say I love you because you may never see that person again. I don't like to end a conversation with harsh words or arguing.

No. You should mean it when you say it---I always tell my family I love them. You never know when the last time will be when you say those words to someone.

Yes. and in all honesty they don't always mean enough if said too often. Its how you show it - not the words - that counts.

NO. When these words are used, there are emotions involved that mean more that words can express.
