In my continuing effort to improve myself, I started journaling to sort out my thoughts. I don't write in it every day, but it's there when I need it. I also started a little book in which I write life lessons, inspirational quotes, etc. I just have to remember to look at it every day. Do you do anything like this?

I've kept journals on and off for years of notes about my life and that of family/friends, prayers & requests/needs, quotes or sayings, poems, etc. I have one now I make notes in like that. Sometimes I get a 'light bulb moment' and I like to get it down in writing before it's gone. I think writing things out helps me remember them.

Yes. I've kept a journal fairly steadily for the last 35 years. It began with a dream journal in which I was trying to sort things out. Today I still record an occasional powerful dream, but usually it is merely my morning ruminations on the flotsam passing in the stream of consciousness. My journal provides the conversation that my solitary life lacks.

Personally, I would rather the original 3 books, as it's more authentic and would remind me of my father. Having a 365 day thing is conventional and sounds like something you'd buy from Walmart.

No. Because you never know when you are going to get run over by a bus, and then your kids, and everyone else will know what exactly you were thinking of them all at particular time. And, worse, what you were doing, that they did not know about!

I have a folder on my computer, for inspirational quotes. but they certainly are not about me.

I used to have one but somewhere in the last few moves it disappeared or someone tossed it. Dont have the heart to start over. Wish I could find the original and continue.

I have a tablet that I write in everyday. I write my prayers requests in it. If I hear on the news that someone is sick or suffering I go write it down. If my family or friends are in need I write it down. I also write thank yous to God for all his many blessings that he bestows on me.

I used to - no longer - probably should pick up that good habit once again. I do search online for inspirational quotes and articles.

No, but maybe I should have started one years ago.
