I'm 63 and have a 4 year old daughter. She'll start kindergarden next year. I was 59 when we adopted her. Crazy, eh? Boy, does she have a lot of energy! LOL

My youngest is 17. The others 38, 36, 34, 25. My first grandaughter is 11 weeks younger than my youngest. Some days I think I am too old to be doing this but new strength comes every morning. I admire your thriving with a young son. You are really blessed and so is he. I assume I will have small children in my life everyday until th end. We have two more grandchildren due this year. Hubby and I together have 9 children and 23 grands.

looks to me it was once 8AM to 3PM with an hour for lunch and a recess (or 2) of quarter-hour (approximately 5 a million/2 hours of actually education). In severe college we had an analogous hours yet a minimum of a type of hours have been spent in domicile room for an hour of wasted time. i do no longer comprehend what the babies have immediately yet I bear in mind a time whilst there have been lots of young ones at college that the college day the place I lived had to be chop up in 2 the place area of the babies might bypass interior the morning and area might bypass interior the afternoon meaning they had be interior the college room 4 hours (or maybe much less if that they had one homeroom classification). Then the courses replaced and that they did no longer get each and all of the guidance we did.

I'm 54, and my youngest is 10.
Having a school age child at my age is a real eye-opener.
For some reason, I relate to his experiences more so than I did with my older kids.
Maybe that's something we learn to do as we get older - see things through the eyes of others. Or maybe it happens as we begin to remember and long for our childhood days. I'm not sure how to explain it.

Well, Dragon, as you know my grandsons are all around the same age as your son (12, 11 and 8). And I KNOW just how much of a handful THEY ARE.

I can only say that you are a much braver person than I to undertake PARENTING at such a decrepit age! :) (ba-dum-bump)
