Brother:
Thanks for your question: My thoughts also same as you.
Same thing it was happened in South Africa. Our Indian culture is different I don't know who arrange these ladies for dance. We are not Europeans. Our tradition is respect to ladies. not looking them in shorts in the stadium. Our Government Indirectly encouraging bad thing for youths.

The answer is in your question itself ! It is only a temporary very short duration ''entertainment'' value only.If one does not like this ,let him pay little attention to it.Good or bad , depends upon how you take it!There are many other''good'' things in the match to observe. However it is a fact that this is an imported culture ,which could have been avoided by the authorities concerned.
I feel the purpose behind such entertainment is only to keep the ''viewers'' in a good or cheerful mood.Let us give importance to it , what it deserves and nothing more than that.

See...i understands and respect your feeling that providing entertainment by such inferior means is not god.it is overcoming cricket...
but i wanted to tell u that the main reason behind the making of this concept"Twenty- Twenty" is to promote cricket and to make it popular all over the world.Mainly in those countries which are not familiar with the legendary game of Cricket.
so,it is very important to make it a bit more interesting using other means of entertainment like the cheerleaders(ladies according to u)..and a DJ and some more...
Test Cricket or One Day Cricket cant do this job because they are a serious form of Cricket...and these are for masters..not for newcomers and amateurs..

No i dont think so.Cheer girls as seen on yesterdays match is standard part of any game in Western countries. It is not so developed in India and the models where frm some western country.
In schools in us and all they give training to girls to become good cheer leaders. There it is all standard part of the growing up regime and a cheer leader is a prestigious post.
Besides the girls in yeasetdays match where all pretty well dressed up and where not that provocative.
This can go on well with the sport.
U see all these beautiful girls in F1 racing and all cricket can do with a bit of glamour.

Everyone prefers to look at women dancing, not a group of men trying to do it. Think about it, what you you prefer, a group of men or women?

There are worse things that are "threatening humankind" than a group of curvy girls entertaining a crowd.
Chill.

The cheerleading concept is quite silly as far as I'm concerned. I personally don't think it's a big deal to have cheerleaders but I do object to them not having male cheerleaders like they had in South Africa!

I dont think there is anything wrong in that, its just for an entertainment.

Good or bad it depends upon how you take it, dont only look at the bad side of it.

good question.I really dont understand what was the need of those cheer girls there were thousands of indians cheering the Indian team.It really looked awkward.Since there were cheer girls during the 20-20 world cup in south africa was it necessary to keep cheer girls during the 20-20 in mumbai it may be their culture it really does'nt bother us we really need to look after our culture.
