I am sorry your Mom misses your Dad, this is something to do but she needs to interact with real live people. My folks wouldn't be caught on here, or at least that is what they want me to believe.

they dont. thank godness.. they dont even have time for computer lol all they do is work, shop for this and that... never goes on the computer and doesnt even know how to use the computer only like... microsoft word, exel, etc... my dad knows but my mom lol rather shop for more clothes and stuff

My parents have enough trouble operating their remote and checking their email. So I don't worry too much about them getting on yahoo answers.
