Rik is on the right track,if you really want to understand this then read the naked ape by Desmond wilcox ,it looks at humans just like another species of animal on this planet (which we are by the way). This will be a revelation to you.
Also i think some men who sleep with a lot of women are often laughed at by a fair proportion of people, some people look at men and women who sleep with lots of partners as cool, some view them as sluts .Don't try and guess what other people are thinking , it doesn't really matter as long as you are staying safe and being open about what you want with a partner (serious or casuel). Let other people think what they want and get on with it !!! cheers

ok, imagine a crowded bar.. an ugly woman can stand in the middle of the room and shout "I want to be friendly with someone" (or words to that effect) and she will have a queue of partners all the way around the room.. now imagine the same bar and an ugly bloke tries the same thing.. guess how many women will take him up on his offer?

A man, on the other hand, need fear only disease and some girl's family catching up with him. If he spreads his seed far and wide, he's doing good for his family in evolutionary terms: his parents' genes spread further.

The disadvantages to a man who sleeps around are far more indirect than to a woman who does it.
