Really old people of about 75 or more need les sleep.

Everybody else who claims to need only 4-5 hours sleep per night is simply sleep-deprived and in denial. Regardless of whatever uppers they may be popping to maintain such a ridiculous sleep pattern, they will start suffering heightened blood pressure, weight gain, irritability, greater susceptibility to infectious disorders and short periods of inattention, which can be dangerous while driving or while doing any task requiring alertness.

Some people who do this spend the entire weekend sleeping in, when they catch up on some of their sleep deprivation.

Well. I usally go bed at 12:00 12:30 and I wake up at 5:40 and get ready for school and I'm fine. I never get tired in lessons so I think it s true.

yep. it has to do with the proportion of various sleep stages. there are 5 sleep stages in total, and two of them are especially important for restoration, memory consolidation, and various aspects of functioning. the people who only get 4-5 hours of sleep spend most of their time in these two stages, and less in the others.

there's nothing you can really do to change this (well, nothing we know of anyway). so it's just one of those things that vary between people.
