I start with my past. My past is the beginning of where I am now. I compare the two; where I was then and where I am now - who I was then and who I am now. While taking the journey from my past to the present, I seek the answer(s) that will guide me on the path to my future.

When I search my soul, I look to the Lord. He knows me better than I know myself. He knows my ups, downs, ins and outs. He knows what I'm thinking and He knows what I'm feeling. If I listen closely enough, I hear Him talking to my spirit. It's a great thing. Whenever I want to talk or I have things on my mind, He's always there, no questions asked. Awesome!

Into a bottle of rum.
Haha no not really... um taking your question literally, I look to the night sky. Abstractly I would say I look into what I'm feeling at that moment, and try to figure out what the hell convoluted emotion I'm actually experiencing.

Since heart doesn't contain feelings, I would look in my mind. My thoughts, memories and feelings.
