I wrote this just 45 minutes before reenlisting and sending myself on the last 16 years of a 20-year military career.
ONE GOOD THOUGHT
The tangle of
beautiful lines
jump inside,
eager to explode,
and they defeat
their purpose.
Through the haze
comes logic; no matter
what is said,
should I make just
one communication of
power and
feeling from
inside me,
for one moment in time,
you will remember me.
