wether or not there is a god isn't really a question that there can be a yes or no answer it is more a matter of personal beliefs, i personally believe that they is no god but if there was a god i don't think they would be any way to prove to those that don't believe in him or believe in another god.

if there was a god, who came before him, was there a higher god. most religions try to remove this paradox by saying we must trust which is a generically inhuman thing to do. many scientific theories have put reasons forward on how the universe formed but no one can presently tell us what was before the beginning of time.

My dear friend,

See people are just blind and dont know the true meaning of god. Well in each and every religion, people believe that good things happen and not bad things. Well, all living beings were created and keeps moving on from generation to generation. Only man is having the sixth sense and so he is the most superior than all other living beings. Hence man created all beliefs and progressing in life. Actually god is there in all the things. As the true meaning of god is G for generation as they are born into this earth, O for operation as each one performs their duties and D for destruction as each one has to perish one day or the other. So, its more important how you live in this short span of time. So, if you are a science student you may understand much better. See, every thing is created by atoms. So many tiny objects join together to form a matter. So in this universe even the sun was born crores of years ago and every thing which is created has an end including the so called sun. and so also the objects such as stars, meteors, and so many galaxy as one we live in. See Rama might have existed and he would have been a king and in those days the people would have been very honest and truly believed in their king. So the history goes on and on and slowly the people progressed to make him a god with divine powers. Well its all within ourselves. If we think too much of anything that will come in front of us. As for every action there is a reaction. Similarly the intensity of your prayer into some wishes will surely become true. Ofcourse this is law of nature and the normal man believes it to be divine. As only when you know some knowledge of meditation will you come to know of some of the secrets of this universe and the universal truth. And by knowing so, you will find that there is no point in being selfish, aggressive, greedy, and all other bad characters. YOu will always be truthful and honest and humble and selfless. That is you submit yourself to the universal god or almighty. There is no point in arguing over a matter. We all have to progress in life with love and peace helping oneanother for the universal peace. You will completely feel self satisfied and happiness will take its shelter on you when you truly understand and follow these principles with many more to be known. ITs a vast subject and this place is not sufficient to completely tell you the secrets of this universe.

If your talking about evil and suffering and why god lets it happen, then youd be best to look at some of the different forms of god. The christian god obviously just does not work, cus there is evil and suffering, yet he does nothing, making him either not all powerful or not all knowing. There are other types of god, for example the Demiurge-god, who is said to have made the universe, than left it to make its own path, therefore this fits in with evil and suffering. There are also other gods which may be worth googling, thenou can dicide if you want to belive in any from that. Also you could look at Plato's theory of the Forms, its very complicated but very interesting, Hope this helps.

The bridge is a gross material thing. It has nothing to do with belief in God! It does mean a lot if people are sentimental about it. And as a society, we do have to respect the sentiments of others, and if it affects the sentiments of a large number, then it is wise to undertake the tough task of convincing patiently, at the same time, keeping the possibility open for accepting corrections to our own 'non-sentimental' logical reasoning, if warranted.
Regarding belief in God, as long as a person 'chooses' to continue to just believe, it would remain an inconclusive belief, with that person, because there is no way to prove it to that person other than one's own experience. It would be much much wiser to reach that level of experience rather than choose the 'convenience' of belief.

The existence or non-existence of God depends upon one's mind setup. If you have belief in God , God is there. If you do believe His existence there is No God. This phenomena is universal. When a human-being (man/Woman) declares God theory, someone starts denying it. Theory of God was found to control one's mind which gains enjoyment through our five organs i.e. eyes, ears, nose, mouth and body. But Atheists differ with this. Unfortunately a lot of deviations & wrong notions about the God Theory are flourishing in India.

Its not tht simple to answer to this question.. but For a try..
take this simple test.. "You generally dnt believe in "GOD" and one day you are in a situation when u find no way out of a problem.. Like.. you need a flight ticket for a place where u are expected for a major business dealing, your presence is necessary since this major dealing will decide ur hard-earned wealth.. every single penny of it.. But unfortunately the flight timing is just hrs away and u find no way of boarding.. Then u wisper.. "oh god plz help me.." suddenely your friend from nowhere arrives at ur door and gives you the tickets..!!!
NOW.. Tht's a MIRACLE...!!! You believ in this word called "miracle" !!? The strength/ force/ or "shakti" as we call is Responsible for making tht Miracle..

Tht same shakthi / force is named as "god" And this same "god" has different names in different relegion..

And as humans we dnt belive in formless force to perform a work. so we blindly believe tht its the Human form tht performs this task of miracles.. :)

So ultimately.."God is in a human form but cannot be seen.." and "god is everywhere".. :)

Why are you so anxious to know about the existence of GOD. Will it make any difference if you know that GOD exists. GOD is something to experience. Did you ever try to see air around you. You can't see the air around you but you can feel the air. So is GOD. Experience the divine feeling when you help a person. Experience the devine feeling early in the morning watching the blooming flower or experience GOD in Tajmahal in full moon.
GOD is sheer experience not to argue about his existence. GOD does not require our certificate to prove his existence.
