I really love american girl dolls. I'm thirteen. Its kinda embarassing coz I only have one doll and one of my friends asked- do you like these dolls? and I go"um...no"
Also, I have never liked dolls before this. This time for christmas I even asked for one. But now I'm wondering....am I too old for this?

I have no intention of giving away my dolls! I would rather have them than do the stuff my friends are doing anyway.
I wouldn't do that stuff for a loong loooong time! (believe me, a very long time!!!!)

You are not too old! Look I am 11 and I still play with barbies and MyScene dolls secretly! By the way read the American Girl Motto!

That says stand tall for yourself and forget those girls! Make a better woman out of yourself!! And if they ask if you play with them say: "These dolls are a project, I am training to be a mother so I can be ready and not be unprepaired like you will be if you don't start training now". That will make them buy those dolls too. By the way you are getting this information from an 11 year old so trust me, I know how this feels.

No your absolutely not too old for this. My sister has always loved dolls and she is quite a bit older than you. Don't be embarrassed those are beautiful collectors dolls an there is nothing wrong with liking them.
Regarding the "it" that your referring to. Please talk to a trusted older person about this. Whatever your so called friends are telling you they are coming from a place of low self esteem if they are engaging in that behavior.
I'm a lot older than you and I know from whence I speak.
Enjoy your dolls,the other stuff will come much,much later. Don't be in such a rush to grow up. It will happen faster than you think. Trust me.

I used to still play with American Girl dolls when I was thirteen and even a little when I was fourteen. I used to be ashamed of it too and I felt like a nerd but I learned that you just have to grow out of it when you're ready. Don't worry about it, you're normal.

Hey, I don't think any age is too old for dolls. I am 49 and I still have my original BARBIE. I also have 2 other dolls. A girl is never TOO old to have dolls.Love your dolls.

Man back in the days ( I'm 18 lol ), girls would play with dolls at that age, just you teens now just want to grow up so fast, and technology plays a huge role. Why not just collect them, what's so wrong with that. And if you want to play with them play with them! Who cares what others think as long as your happy about it!

You mean "IT" by sex? Nasty! I was 19 before I had sex. Don't believe what they say..I bet most are into dolls like you. Hell I'm 34 and I still like dolls. Be you, do what you like, forget what "the popular thing" seems to be. You sound like a bright, smart and creative girl.

Having done "IT" at 13 is a sign of low character and low intelligence. Do not envy such behavior.
If you like dolls now then just enjoy them. Your tastes will continue to change for many years and there is nothing "wrong" with liking or having fun with a particular toy.

think of it as a hobby everyone should have one.
that is your thing i an 24 it's not a big deal to me....
and the other girls that have boyfriends and have done it well i look at it this way
that is a problem for society and will probably be there problem soon if they are not careful. don't let others bring you down............
