Escrow sounds like a 'good idea' however the '3rd party' has to be trusted by both buyer & seller .. and in these days of massive email fraud and identity theft, anyone can claim to be anyone on the web...
I would suggest setting up a PayPal account and asking buyers to pay that way instead ..
