If possible, it's best not to become one. But once someone becomes a teenage parent, there's nothing different than an older person. Their opportunities may be limited to a certain extent, but many school districts now have young parents schools to help teenage parents get through high school. And then they should have plenty of opportunities to go to college including financial aid and many schools have on-site daycare centers as part of the child development department.

Much of what a teenage parent becomes depends on their motivation. If they decide their life is over and simply want to live of the system then they won't amount to much. But if they take the initiative to stay in school and go to college, they can become contributing members of society and strong role models for their kids. But isn't that really the same for all parents.

What's to think? Some teenage parents are more capable of raising honest, respectable and productive members of society, than some adults are.

While I do not like to make generalizations, I think parents and their kids would benefit from a little more maturity than can be afforded by most teenagers.

As long as they are responsible it doesn't matter what I think. I've met grown adult parents that are far worse than some of the teenagers I've encountered.

As long as they show great parenting...I don't have a problem with it. But as for me, I want to be married when I have children.
