Change it. Even if the only changes you can make are taking a different route to work, have lunch a different place, move your furnature around, paint a wall, clean out a closet, go see a movie, call someone you haven't connected with for a while, so many small changes. But just by making some small changes you have small opportunities, like meeting someone at one of the new places, or feeling good about your life because you have accomplished something. It probably took you a long time to get to this 'place', but with baby steps you'd be surprised how quickly you'll feel better.

I speak from experience and feel for you with empathy.

Great question I am giving you a star here. Every once in a while it's nice to step back and look at yourself and say yes I need a change. Take this time to give yourself a complete makeover. Your not going to change who and what you are, but you can revitalize yourself esteem and energy. Change you hair, Buy some new and different clothes from what you normally wear. Try going out and doing a few things you never normally do. Try golfing if you never have before. Go horseback riding if you never have before. Leave the normal you for a few days and experiment with other things in life that you don't normally do. GOOD LUCK

Cry, then plan on starting a fresh life, one where I will be happier. I know that nothing is forever and remember that I can move to another place, I can travel to another town on a whim to get away for a couple hours. I can meet new people, I can watch a movie I've never seen before, I can look up an old friend and try to pick up where we left off. Everything is beautiful, the down in the dumps is not forever. Good things come to those who wait and plan! I love you, and you are special. Don't cry, please be happy. Tomorrow is a new day.

I change myself, or my perspective...Introduce something new and positive in my life...I usually always have a smile on my face cause the little stuff...is not getting that worked up over...You can always change..not who you are but the way you look at things..Remember until someone proves different you only have one life and you might as well make the best off it...Besides sleeping all day can get exhausting...you know?

Since I've got a car I jump in it and go for a drive to the Eastern part of Scotland to my place where i got over an operation and depression about 9 years ago.

I search for peace and traquility in the world.. by looking out to the ocean and getting lost in my thoughts.

Then I ***** slap myself back to reality and tell myself to get a grip. There are a lot of people out there that are worse of than myself and I should remember that!

I take an account of the good things (Blessings) in my life and the bad things. Then I usually realize the good far outnumbers the bad. I look at the things I need to change to be happy. I know that happiness cannot come from someone else mking me happy, but taking charge of my life and making the changes myself. Sometimes it helps to have someone help you with the changes, but it has to be your decision

You are obviously, from those looking in and from the questions you are asking lately, depressed. Go to the school health services on campus. They can give you more help than we on YA. I can tell you from experience, things will get better. Hang in there in the mean time, Roz.
