Definitely not. And it is not right that she hit you in the first place!!!!
Abuse is abuse no matter who is dealing out the blows. Stay away from this individual to protect yourself!

I guess in some rare circumstances hitting a female may be necessary. Like maybe she's psychotic, or dangerous- some muscle bound badass - and you're actually defending your life or someone elses....
But most often it's not OK for a man to hit a woman even if she hits him first. Men are in general far stronger than women, even an angry woman who's swinging fists rarely poses a real threat to a man. But a man can easily cause a woman serious injury unintentionally because of their superior strength. The appropriate way for a man to handle a woman who's hitting him is to protect himself by blocking or catching and stopping her hand in mid swing.
PS Although sometimes a really enraged woman warrants being restrained - (pinning her arms down w/hands or arms around her) it's best to avoid doing so if it's at all possible. If it is necessary, he needs to be careful not to bruise or injure her AND try to prevent her from injuring herself. If police get involved in a domestic disturbance, and she has so much as a scratch- without proof/witnesses that you weren't at fault- you'll get hauled off to jail in a heartbeat. Even if the woman doesn't make charges against you, the state automatically does in domestic violence cases.

Firstly NO ONE is entitled to hit out in anger.
I am a woman, and dislike the idea of those women who believe that they can hit, and not be hit back. I believe if she hits once, she might get away with it, but if she tries for a second, then a male is entitled to defend himself, just as anyone would be. But the force must only be enough to divert the threat. An open handed slap is not equal to a closed fist punch. And one does not entitle you to many in response.

Definitely YES. I agree with az_mom, she and amber_d are the only sensible people on here, it seems. If a girl hits me, I am going to haul off and beat her @ss with the same amount of force she used to me.
The people who say it's wrong are retarded and from a clueless generation. It's only wrong to instigate the attack, or to hit back with more force than was used. It's wrong for anyone to start a physical fight, regardless of the gender.
Anyone who hits me will get it returned to him or her.
EDIT: Laura...the female hit him FIRST.

It depends. It is okay for a man to physically stop a woman from hitting him again, such as pushing her away (not too hard though) or grabbing her arms or pinning her down. I'm not a very physically strong woman, so I know that if my partner ever needed to defend himself against me (which he would not) he could easily do so by grabbing my wrists. In fact, sometimes he teases me and grabs my wrists and I'm so weak that he can make me hit myself in the face. He then says, "Stop hitting yourself" haha, but the point is, if the man is strong enough to overpower her, he should be about do this in self defense, without having to hit her. If the man is not physically strong enough to do this, then a smack back in self defense may be called for, but only in self defense.

Personally I think that if a girl thinks she is big enough and bad enough to hit a guy she should be big enough and bad enough to get hit back. If she isn't then she needs to keep her hands to herself.
I don't buy into this it's okay for a girl to do it and not a guy. That's crap.

If i was a guy and a girl hit me..I wouldnt hesitate to hit her back..No offence

i feel it's wrong for a girl to hit a guy, just like it's wrong for a guy to hit a girl. if a girl hits me, then i will let her know that i am not past defending myself, even though if she only hits me once or twice, i would not hit her back; but if it looks like she is going to continue, i will defend myself. i have to.

never, if a guy is being attacked he can basically restrain the lady. i've got had particularly immature friends who might slap or hit their boyfriends and that i've got purely seen man or woman who certainly hit decrease back. each and all the adult adult males i be attentive to would possibly never hit a woman and picture that adult adult males who do are losers. a actual Gentleman would possibly never advance his hand to a girl.

If a girl hits a guy it is okay for the guy to call the police and charge her with assault.
