So bottombs up
My wayward friend
Light the fire
Put out the water
Down we go
But up we rise
Higher than the clouds
In the bright blue sky
Or the silver jets
Where all dreams fly
And angels frett
Of earning their wings
But pay no attention
In trying to bring
Others up, so far above
So down we plunge
In this endless fit of love
Love of addiction,
Or addiction of love
Bring me up darling, on the back of a dove
Won’t someone please save me
From this deathly affliction

What is supposed to be the literary significance of your work? What have you contributed to the art of poetry? Is this supposed to affect anyone? What have you done right?

By the way, I am just being an asshole.
