Thanks straightener, One Can See Some Variance, Perhaps In Trust, But I Think Truth Always Trumps Loyalty.

Loyalty to Whom?
Carlo Gambino? Al Capone? Hitler, The Unibomber?
I don't think so.

Loyalty is one of the virtues. You know in Christianity virtues occupy a hierarchy that is only the third degree (or circle or whatever) out side the inner most realm of God.
A similar picturization is found in the mysticism in India in the so called Shri Chakra which also has concentric circles of different attributes to reach the inner most goal of God.
These are all relative things which are subject to change from situation to situation. I suppose you have to weigh each one according to its individual merit.

The degree in which we hold in highest esteem, such things as loyalty & its synonyms is totally subjective.
This isn't a question that can be answered with "logical" reasoning in philosophy, do you think?
If we took this to another arena, oh, let's say--freedom , peace, tolerance, understanding, I believe we'd still have a problem in achieving "absolute," or non-assumptive reasoning.
I didn't perceive your question to include loyalty "to whom" & at what possible risk. Your question was clear, but an answer is not.
An interesting journey, but to what conclusion?

I think that bright creativity and flexibility may be more important than a rigid sense of loyalty. A glowing feeling of own freedom is more important.
A sense of loyalty may make you into a hostage or into a robot of somebody else, or of others, such as the chiefs and priests of your own culture, and it can even and easily destroy your own personal life.
A glowing feeling of one's own freedom is the most important of all.

I agree, Loyalty to those I choose to put my trust in is very important to me. I can't think of anything more important this early in the morning after a night of partying.

Loyalty to others is pretty key in having a relationship with them... Altho id say its probably equal to other such things... I dont think you can easly say that one part of a relationship with others can be more important then another part of that relationship. Equal rights equal nights equal everything?

Anything which, to you, is more important than life itself.
