I have only bought a few stocking fillers for my grand children. I will start the bulk of the presents next month. I do know what I am going to buy for most of the family.

I typically try to wait until after Halloween before I do my shopping, but I've already purchased a new Christmas decoration so far and almost purchased a gift just this pass week.

I think there's nothing wrong with shopping early or looking for a great deal throughout the year. The only reason why I try not to do any shopping before October is that I'm afraid the gifts I buy will be purchased for another occasion and then I won't be able to return it for a refund.

Yep!

Started, sort of, LAST YEAR (27th Dec 06) went and bought a load of good quality Christmas stuff at half price. Including a 7ft artificial tree was £109.00 and we got it for £45 !!!

Have already bought a load of sweets & Chocolates.

My Christmas list has already gone in to Santa (Via the wife) - Heroes DVD season 1 & one of the reduced 'Dr Who Cyberman helmet' from 'The Entertainer' - WHAT NO 37 YEAR OLD SCI-FI FAN SHOULD BE WITHOUT !!!

Have also got other bits and bobs - mainly the presents that are going to have to be posted abroard.

We will of course run out for time though and there will be that mad rush in the last few days to get everything reday on Christmas eve.

Alot of people start early cos not everyone is made of money so they cant go out and buy it all in one go like some do, so people tend to spread it out...

i got some food for xmas other day and some beer cos they chucked it all out of the shelfs already at buy one get one free which in a few weeks or so wont be

I'm not a cheapskate but i aint exactly rich either but can't beat a bargain so that's why people start early

Our family lives on a small amount of money so I buy Christmas presents all year long to ensure my family has a decent Christmas.

I buy some every month but by the time October rolls around, I start to really buy presents.

(((hugs)))

Oh, you are so lucky!!! I usually have started by now but this year I have been so broke. I have money taken out of my check once a week for a x-mas club... this year I have had to use a good portion of the money to make the bills. Oh well, I will still have a little left for my kids at least. I am trying to figure out what I am going to do for my extended family...people like my mom, mother-in-law and all the nephews and nieces.
Enjoy!!!!
