Hi, I typed in some things on the computer and now when ever you type in 'c' you might get the word 'cat' in the search bar. (we both know that cat is not the words that I am infering to.) Is there any way to make it so that the computer does not reconize previous searches in the toolbar?

If I am not wrong I understand that you search on internet and later when you type in search field such as c the old search appears. If that is the case you do not like to see old search please do the following. This is for Internet Explorer 7.

In internet explorer select tools/internet options/content tab/auto complete button /
You will find similar to this:
Use Auto complete for
Web address
Forms
User names and passwords on forms
Prompt me to save passwords

Uncheck the "web addresses" box under the "use auto complete for" Click OK then OK to close the internet options box.

I hope this will help you and others.

i have a mac and if i want to clear the toolbar so old searches don't pop up or other memorized words ....i go to preferences, then there are different sections depending on what browser i am using to, to delete information....usually under security sections....clear cache, remove cookies, reset toolbar etc...

You dont say what program you are typing in, but if the word cat is not what you want, surely if you keep typing instead of using the enter key, you will get the word you want. If it comes up in a program like Word, then remove it from Autotext.

You should be able to change it somewhere in the Options section.
