How do I reformat a video for YouTube?

Please help me! I really need help with this!

I made a movie on windows movie maker, and it says it was an incorrect file type and needs to be reformated, I need help. ;.;

What do you mean by reformat?

You can upload video easily to You tube.
You tube display videos in flash but we can use avi, wav to upload.

I upload video which I edit by windows movie maker without any problem. And I also download you tube video then change flash video in to avi or wav as I want.
