It is definitely possible to use Beckett in game 7 if he is indeed ready to pitch again. There are no rules about when pitchers can or cannot pitch. Back in 2001 Randy Johnson got the win in game 6 and came in relief and got the win again in game 7. Normally, however, pitchers do not do as well on 3 days of rest. There are always exceptions though.

Beckett won't start, but may be used as a reliever in Game 7...He will likely pitch Game 1 of the World Series if Boston wins...

its actually pretty normal for an ace starter to pitch in multiple games liek this. DiceK in fact threw a 17 inning game, came back in relief the next day threw 2 innings, then threw a no-hitter. as a senior in high school. its not out of the ordinary and probobly isnt a bad idea either

Beckett should be fine. They were talking about using him in relief though. I think the starter is Jon Lester. They will be using everything they've got to make it. Expect to see Papelbon as well.

I heard yester they may use him as a reliever, or possibly his original position starter. Most likely Dice-K start though unless it changes.

We only wish. He may relieve tomorrow, but I doubt it. If we make it, he will probably start Wed.
