Yes: a world view based on fear rather than on realistic assessment of risk. I read that Kubrick originally intended to make a documentary on the nuclear arms race and abandonned the project as dealing with subject matter too riduculous for anyone to take seriously. George C Scott's protrayal of General Bucky surely had a lot to do with his landing the part of General Patton. A great film about paranoia and military-think.

I'm a conservative, and I think Dr. Strangelove has gotta be among the top 10 films of all time!

Funny how things change. In the 'fifties and 'sixties, the right was the "loony" party. Does anyone remember the "little old ladies in tennis shoes" epithet?

Actually, he is so silly and unrealistic, and so non-down-to-earth, he actually reminds me of liberals.

Talk to any moonbat in San Francisco for 5 minutes, and I'll bet he'll soon be sounding like Jack D. Ripper. Especially when they start talking about Bush and go farther into insanity than even Gen. Ripper went when talking about commies.
