What are some of the best acting schools to make good connections and learn great techniques in Los Angeles?

I honestly don't think you can take any one person's word for it. You have to go experience them for yourself and decide for yourself which place is the best fit. As for connections, you won't get to that point without having been there for a while or unless you work in their office :-) You should make a list of questions you want to know, make several copies, and call several places before you decide which ones you'll visit. Some will let you audit (try) a class for free. I think that's a great idea so you can see if that place will be a good fit for you.

Cliff Osmond is very intense, you should be at an intermediate level for his class. Although I think he does have someone there teaching a more beginning type class. He is a truly amazing teacher. I was referred to him by the then casting director of Days of Our Lives, Doris Sabbah. He is good friends with her. He is widely respected amongst casting directors in LA. He has some awesome "special guest" casting people come to his class to see the students perform!
