Yes, it is legit.
I signed up as a "lender" about 18 months ago.
If your credit is fair to good and you have the ability to pay the loan back, you should have no problem getting a loan funded.
If your credit is bad, the chances of getting a loan are pretty low but it may not hurt to try.

try lending club.com. i posted my loan request not quite 2 weeks ago and called them today and asked about taking the amount that was funded at this point so i could be sure i had money in the bank come fri. i was told that at this time, i had to wait until fully funded or the closing date. i was okay with this sorta. then less than 1 hour later i got a call saying that thay had called a few of their biggest investors and got my loan fully funded so that it would be in the bank fri!!! what a service! let's hope i still feel that way fri,eh??????????? i'll keep you posted.
