No, I think they are ugly. How can anyone eat without either ripping it out accidentally or getting food stuck around it? Gross. And I like to kiss tongues, not jewelry. Whenever I see someone talking with a tongue ring, it's hard not to stare because even if the person is pretty, the tongue ring is still so ugly and awkward to me.

I'm not so much into the visual appearance of a man with a tongue ring... but it serves a wonderful purpose so my answer has to be a big fat YES.
