No dear, it is not weird. It is because you ARE shy and haven't found your assertiveness yet.
When you have the time to ponder, ask yourself what you are so sorry for ?! How would you help a friend of yours that said the same thing all of the time? I'm sure you have some super qualities, you just don't know it yet!
My shyness causes me to not look people squarely in the eyes, because I'm thinking, and a few people have asked why I don't look at them when I speak to them... it makes them feel bad. LOL, I'm shy too at times. If you have made a mistake, it's ok to say "sorry". Other than that, don't be sooo sorry for nothing! ;-)

Instead of saying sorry next time,just give a broad smile or 'a thank you'.ALWAYS look in to the eyes of people you are talking to or interacting with.Remember you are as good or bad as anybody and are just one of them,nothing more or less.So when we are with people like ourselves,there is no need to be shy .Isn't it?Within few weeks of trying you shall be mighty fine.

it's not weird because a lot of people say sorry excessively, i used to. The thing is, I don't do it as much anymore because I realized that I was viewed as a very weak person and taken advantage of in several ways. So protect yourself and get some backbone before anyone messes with you.

no its not weird. alot of people say that when they are shy. but sorry means you did something wrong. so i would change that up a bit. maybe cough slightly when you are feeling shy and say excuse me. better than people thinking that you are doing something wrong.

Its not a weird thing but some people might get annoyed with it, or would even make fun of you, you have to take that shyness away if you want to meet people and hang out with them, blushing? well that is normal but please not too much, enjoy life!
