"I hate the war!"
"Well stop it."
"I can't. The dog ate my homework..." "Also, I might not get reelected"

Bekindto (below) Disagree. Rummy was tossed because the VOTERS fired so many Repubs. Not because the Dem reps did anything.

I fail to see a point to this question. Could you elaborate?
Edit:
Still doesn't make any sense. I know you will resort to reporting anyone who disagrees with your dubitible and often catachrestic questions. Therefore, elaborate on your point since it seems to be rather elusive.

In the case of the major political parties, the answer is not even lip syncing. Hilly "Vanilli" Clinton will probably put up a show about it, and then realize she'll lose her health care idea if she doesn't feed the Republicans their biscuits... favors will be traded, money exchanged, the press will once again create news, and we'll have to end up accepting the Trade Federation's blockade and control of our planet... wait a minute. This sounds familiar.
Thanks, Dems and Reps, for creating this vast quagmire of delineation, entitlement, and consumption that define the US experience. I'm sure not only the soldiers dying in the fields abroad and all the kids doing drugs here because of hopelessness appreciate our little crusade to keep muslims dead and cars cheap.
Hold your heads high, you should be proud of creating this mass of zombies that blindly vote for you and keep you in power.
I have to go - there's a sale on full sized SUV's. Gotta go buy 3 - if I can turn off the TV long enough to remember.

I think the congress and senate have come to the conclusion that pulling out of Iraq completely would be a stupid thing to do now. Actually, they have been the catalyst to the changes in course as far as Rumsfeld leaving and the appointment of Petraeus. Their efforts have also put pressure indirectly on the government in Iraq on the political end, although that doesn't appear to be moving very fast anyway. They have also been pressuring the president to not accept a "no progress" status there.
EDIT: Exactly, that still made them a catalyst.

AIPAC and the secretive AIA (Aerospace Industry Association) own both parties. Token votes against Iraq War funding by a few Dem candidates is merely for posturing. I hope Obama isn't bought and paid for.
Hey, I thought you were gonna take a break and get some rest?

Being an anti-war politician = a lot of lip service. Playing both ends against the middle will eventually wear thin. And if there has been no action by those that were elected/re-elected on an anti-war or impeach Bush platform ~~ the time is nearing for them to pi$$ or get off the pot!!
Being a constituent in a district of a BS'ing politician = fool me once shame on you, fool me twice - shame on ME!! Who wants to feel as if they wasted their vote? It's unfortunate that most of our elected officials are in self-preservation mode - verse honoring their campaign promises.
As constituents - it is our responsibility to hold our BS'ing politicians accountable for their lack of action...

Though I'm sure there's a core anti-war crowd that have been anti-war since Vietnam, much of the current anti-war rhetoric is really anti-Bush/Republican rhetoric coming from politicians who would be among the staunches supporters of the war if someone else had initiated it...

haha you're a Republican arent you?
First of all, shut the hell up, my dad doesn't support this war but there he is, in all the danger, against his will, because of the jerkoffs who started it in the first place only to start pulling troops back years later.
And. Stop generalizing.
