I'm a big, critical movie buff, and mallrats just hit me as great, even tho it was a financial failure when it came out

Not just Mallrats but all of Kevin Smith's work is underrated. My personal favorite is Chasing Amy.

I like it well enough.. and there are times where it's the only movie I want to watch.. and of course.. I had to buy it to keep my view askewiverse together.. Come on .. the fortune teller is a classic.. lol

I honestly think more people avoided it because of Shannon Dougherty.. who can act.. but who is thought to be rather.. hmm.. well.. let's just say.. not very nice in person. I don't see anything that she did wrong in the movie.. and I don't know her in person.. so, I'll reserve judgement.. the movie is good regardless.. (Although, my favorite is Chasing Amy.. but.. to be fair.. I am a lesbian.. so, I may be biased)
