Costco sells a device called the Power Starter for about $50.00. It will jump-start your car without the need for jumper cables or another car. It also has a light and a mediocre air compressor. Once the car is started, follow the advice others have already provided for troubleshooting root cause.

If you hear a clicking sound when you turn the key, you need to charge the battery. If you don't hear anything, it's the starter. If it died while you were driving it, and won't go any more, it's probably the alternator, or a wire going from the alternator to the battery.
