like the ones I rake up from my trees in the fall. i could use this instead of buying hay?!

The leaves that fall from your trees have little to no nutritional value. Unless you want the goats to starve don't do it.

they will eat them but there is no nutritional value to them, you would be better off buying a decent hay , also some leaves are toxic and might kill the goats so just get some hay and dont feed them leaves

Yes you can feed them to your goats, but they can't thrive solely on this diet.
Some leaves are poisonous ( rhododendron, cherry, azalea,...).
They will enjoy the leaves, but they still need hay.

Yes! they are specialised in eating all sorts of plants
