Why do we need to breathe? Why do we fall in love? How do we learn to swim? It's one of those things about human nature that no technology can help us overcome or change, it's inherent and unexplainable. But you can overcome your emotions if you want to for the right reasons. I've needed to overcome mine before and I have done so. It's not easy and it takes practice, and you can be caught off guard so focus when you know your emotions may get you into danger. It's not always good to follow your heart. If you see the warning signs of a bad decision, chances are the romance of the moment won't count for much later. Pay attention to logic and simple things like that and you will have a leg up.

It's impossible to be objective when your emotion/feeling is involved, because the definition of "objective" means to be uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices.

You answered your own question. When emotions are involved you cannot be objective. That is just the way it is.

Because you are thinking with your heart, not necessarily your mind. What might be the most rational, logical decision could be quite contrary to what your heart or emotions desire.

It's like the old saying "love is blind". When you really care about someone you want so badly for them to reciprocate your feelings that often you ignore signs that they don't feel the same.
