I am going to Six Flags Great Adventure next sunday (last day of the season), and was wondering if they allow cameras on the rollercoasters. Some parks do and I wasn't sure if this one did or not. Also, how crowded do you guys think it would be on the last day of the season. I am assuming that it would be considering it's Fright Fest and of course, the last day of the season. Please let me know and please be sure to answer both parts of the question in your answer.

Thanks a lot guys and please give me serious answers.

Most parks won't allow loose articles (cameras, toys) on rides, especially coasters, for the protection of the riders, and bystanders. It's not impossible though, to sneak one on, you just need to hide it in a jacket pocket or something and keep it hidden until you leave the station. Just remember though, the park is not responsible if you lose your camera.

As far as the second part of your question, most likely, the park will be very packed. If you don't care for the halloween event stuff, which is probably mostly at night, you could probably get away with getting to the park early in the morning, then hitting all the rides and such as soon as possible, bypassing the majority of the crowds. Nothing says you have to stay at the park all day, partial day park visits can be just as fun as full day park visits.

I would be concerned about that as I would be worried the camera would get lost or even fall from where you put it. Also, it would be a real b*tch if you had to walk all the way back to your car because they wouldn't let you have a camera.

I've taken cameras to Carowinds (like six flags) and they've allowed them, I think. And if not, they might hold them at the place where you get off the ride so you can get them when you're done.

Some Six Flags have cameras built in and you buy when you get off the coaster. Most likely because you can't have lots of loose stuff. They don't check you beforehand to my knowledge so it is likely doable if not unadvisable. Not too too crowded depending on the weather. Have fun!

I took a camcorder on a ride and they didn't say anything. Most ride attendants don't care and they usually don't check. Just remember to hold on to that camera! They're not responsible for the loss of your camera.
