you should get checked for asthma and bronchits. really you should be going to a doctor about this. if it is one of these you you will need to make some changes.
i have to have a window open with a fan or a/c on bringing in fresh air. you may have a dusty apartment. even if you do dust regular the dust can still be in the air. make sure you wash everything and shampoo your furniture and matters. dust mites can irrate a breathing problem even if you dont have and conditions. replace your pillows every 6 months and dont buy "feather" stuffed things. dust mites like them. if your apt is "new" there could be something that was used in the building process that your allergic too. there could be plants growing around your apt that your allergic too.
really you need to goto a doctor about this spend $50 for an office visit. and get some real answers. there could be something at your work and you cant tell the diffenece until the end of the day wit 8-10 hors of exposer.

Consult physician first. Do not take any tension. Think positive. Do regular exercise. Adopt good habits. Be friendly to everybody. Hard time to breath is limited to your entrance in your apartment ? Does it mean you climb upto your apartment ?. Take corrective steps.
