For his birthday, my friend got a pair of really nice Vans skater shoes. I like them a lot, and I kinda wish I had a pair myself. The thing is, I don't dress like he does. He dresses like a skater, while I dress more urban. Like he wears Quiksilver shirts and I wear South Pole shirts. Do you think I'll look weird if I wear Vans skater shoes with my South Pole shirts? I haven't seen anyone at school dressing like this...

Of course I'm not gonna get the same exact shoes he has....he's my best friend, so we're together for most of the day...that would look so freaky. =O

If you haven't seen anyone in school dressing like that, start a new trend. I can picture it in my mind on the newspapers all around the world, "Boy Starts Fabulous New Trend!" Have some originality.... not everyone has to dress like a skater! You are way more cool in South Pole. Besides, you are talking about clothes and that is only a portion or total image!
Wear your South Pole and know you are way cool!

Wear what you like - no famous well dressed person ever wears all the same designer or style.
Try to coordinate the colors a little....

Umm are you that much of a follower, who cares if you like it wear it. I always stuck out like a sore thumb in highschool, and w/ in a few months others were wearing what I was.
Thing is b urself and not what others are. K, u will like urself and b happier.

idkk.....by the answers given so far..its probably a fashion mismatch, but don't get his shoes! "discover some nicer shoes that you like and that you want, and that is your style. Even though you like his shoes, you shouldnt buy them because then they won't be special anymore and both of you will have the same shoes....you want someone to say " hey , i like your shoes, where did you get them?" to you only..not the whole world. its your choice!

well not really ur a mix of everything and iv seen ppl do that its shows that ur open to more things i dont think it would look weird at all and you shouldnt care what ppl other do maybe you could be the one who starts some thing new in ur school :D :D

Vans are awesome and they never go out of style. I think they would mesh well with most types of casual clothing.
