If given the opportunity to be one of the ones chosen to go on the mission to Mars that we see so much of on TV, and knowing that you only have a 50/50 chance of coming home alive...but if you do your name would go down in the history books....would you do it...??

Man, that would be such a hard decision! How could I pass up an opportunity like that?!? If I didn't go & they all made it home safely, I would have to live with the regret for the rest of my life! On the other hand, with only a 50% chance of making it home I would have to think of my son & the rest of my family. I guess because of the place I am at in my life right now I would have to decline the invitation because I would never want to take the chance of my son growing up without his mother. If the invite had come before he was born or after he growns up then I think I would have to do it!
What about you, would you go?

I'm so fascinated by outer space and the stars and planets. But to leave my family... nope I couldn't do that. I don't need fame and a place in the history books. All I need is what I already have. So no, I wouldn't go on the mission to Mars.
