Here, if a biker is on the sidewalk, he or she ends up with a fine. They have to be on the side of the road.

well it's the law that bikers be on the road (at a side), and not on the sidewalk. The sidewalks are for walking only and wheel chairs only.

In Georgia you have to ride bikes with traffic but to the right, (Not actually in traffic) sidewalks are reserved for walkers. And if you hit a biker the automobile driver would likely be charged with reckless driving for not paying attention to others on the road.

Are you serious?? Bikes are supposed to be on the road. The sidewalk is for pedestrians, hence the word walk in it's title. Just last week I saw a biker hit a fire hydrant because he was dodging a pedestrian. It's perfectly safe for them to be on the road if they pay attention.

I absolutely Do! I hate it. I know it is harder for them to ride a bike on the sidewalk because it is bumpy there are often things in the way, and sometimes the sidewalk ends all of the sudden. But I still get irritated because it is dangerous, and I don't want them to get hit by a car, or cause an accident because someone is trying to stay out of their way.

Did you say side of the road. Aparently you havent seen the bikers in my town. They are in the middle of the road with their stupid racing bikes because the roads are bumpy on the edges.

Oh, yeah, especially at night. Our street was paved recently, and more people prefer to walk, play, and bike in the street instead of on the sidewalk. If you want to run up the risk of getting hit, be my guest.

In Oregon it is illegal for bicycles to be on the sidewalk. They must ride in the bike lanes.
