If you believe in reincarnation, it's mainly due to some experience you had to undergo in one of your past lives. If you like to get hypnotized you'll find the cure. No I'm not stupid. I actually read a book written by a famous US psychologist who cures one of his many patients phobias which included fear of water, heights ,drowning and so on by going to their past life through hypnosis. he himself actually hadn't believed in reincarnation too until one of his patients suddenly started to reveal her past life under hypnosis. I'm a Buddhist so I believe in reincarnation anyway. Bt this is true and fact bt it's ur choice to believe in what I say. I think Ur case definitely has something to do with ur past life as you had no accidents as a child, trust me I don't lie. Those two books reveals a lot of cases like yours.

I think you are right you do sound like you have a trust issue... trusting yourself. You are the one in control of floating on your back. You need to trust yourself that you are able to keep yourself safe when you are in the water. Granted, no guarantees on the skate board. I'm also not a fan of that one, yes you could fall. But overall, try to trust yourself more and be willing to try new things that are safe but perhaps out of your comfort zone.
All the best!

I don't know anyone who isn't afraid of falling.
Now about the skateboard, I can understand that too. Just get your courage up and you will be fine.
I didn't like to float on my back because I didn't want water in my ears.
Nothing wrong with you. You are just normal. When I was young, in my dreams, I could fly and it was great. As I got older, I was no longer able to fly and then falling became a concern. Just a normal reaction. I still can't stand real close to the edge of anything high.

I was afraid of falling on my butt when I first tried to roller skate. I put a bunch of folded rags in my pants to absorb the shock if I did fall on my butt. That gave me a sense of security to keep trying and I learned how to skate.
Fear can paralyze you-prevent you from enjoying life to the fullest. Or you can over come that fear and gain a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Fear is normal when attempting some thing new. If you know you have a trust issue what have you done about it? Only you can do something-either for yourself and by your self-or by seeking professional help. Good luck!

You're not afraid of falling - you're afraid of landing on something hard, like asphalt. I'm the same way -- I've never even attempted to skateboard because I have no desire to get broken bones. Now, I CAN float on my back, as long as I know the water isn't over my head when I decide not to anymore. That's not a fear of falling -- that's a fear of drowning.

Your trust issue is what's causing this. The object that's supporting you, you may not trust. (No Pun Intended) I know, it sounds like a silly joke, but it's true. You do not feel like it's sturdy, or you can easily trust that object. Try getting a family member, husband, friend to stand behind you while you fall into their arms. Try that about one hundred times! It may work.

Well, for everyone the reasons can be different, but similar. See, If you have big, mean, older sisters like me, your trust could have decayed into nothing. If that sisters friend said if you fell into their arms, they would catch you. Would you trust them? I sure as hell wouldn't. Maybe its the same reason. Your just scared of getting hurt. I don't see anything wrong with that. I used to be scared to go on my roof, because I had a height problem. If i fell off it, it would have hurt. Your just cautious. Just like me with my sister.... your scared of the AFFECT

It may be that you don't like the feeling of tipping over. Like it's kind of an uneasy motion to be forced over giving you the sensation of falling. You're not the only one. I kind of go through the same thing.
