Will you retain the information better if you study from a white piece of paper, a blue piece of paper, a yellow piece of paper etc. This is not for a school project or anything. What do you think? Have there been any experiments on this? All answers would be appreciated:)

I think white is the best to study from. Studies have shown that information is remembered when it is seen on yellow. That's why there are yellow sticky notes and yellow highlighters (before all other colors were made).

the only experiment i know of this sort is that paper flyers for business and event are more successful on yellow paper but for studying it would make sense to have white paper as it would create more of a contrast with the color of your ink or pencil making it jump at you

Blue is considered the "calming" color. In art we use warm colors (reds, yellows, browns) to bring attention to an area or object. Cool colors (blue, green, purple) actually push an area back so it is not noticed as much.

Wow, I never really thought about that. I've always used white. Maybe I'll get better test results if I use different color! Thanks for mentioning this!
