Spotty cell phone coverage! Help!?

My cell phone has spotty service in my area, which types of cell phones pick up a signal when others can't?

I've tried different plans (they all say coverage should be good in my area), but perhaps a different phone can make all the differance.

Most likely the service provider is the problem. Phones make a little difference but not as much as the system. The trial period and testimonials from people in your area are your best bets
