okay. when i was younger, i went to a therapist because i had trouble with being picked on. i was very emotional, and anyone could tease me and i would cry. in fact, my main "bully" (we're friends) wsas 3 years younger than i. now, i hide all of my emotions. i dont remember what i did with the therapist, but how did he make me go the complete oppisite? is it that noone picks on me anymore, or did he really do something?

It is not your therapist. You trained yourself to bottle up emotions and not let them show anymore. That was your doing. However, not showing any emotion is no more healthy than showing too much, so it is still a negative thing. What you are looking to be able to do is show emotions that are in proportion to the situation and not be embarassed that you have them (as all people have emotions). Hiding them can bite you in the rear as well. I would say the therapist was just a coincidence in the fact that you were at the perfect age to learn that boys hide emotions and you took that to heart.

I don't know if the therapist did anything or not, but therapist can only set up a person with the conditions to change him/herself.
