i am paying for a dsl service but it says on my computer i have high speed internet is there a difference

Anything over 56kpbs is high speed. But to be real high speed it has to be 500kpbs, which is what I used to have. I have WOW (Wide Open West) that was upgraded this summer from 500kpbs to 2Mpbs, which is nice because they are not charging me anymore for the 2Mpbs then what they were for 500kpbs. This brings it up to par with Comcast in our area.

DSL and cable (for example) are high speed internet.

dsl is high speed net.
