The other day I said to my husband.."I feel like I was a good mother before I had teens".
I don't think I will survive this! LOL! I have a son who just graduated from High School, and a daughter who's a high school freshman. The rules appear to have changed so much for girls than when I was dating - I feel like I am the only strict parents who's trying to teach their daughter to set boundaries.. VERY Frustrating.
I don't want to (raise teenagers) but I have to !!!! I am in it this far - there's no turning back. How are you doing?

Yes teenagers are expensive, but it's also a time of learning about yourself and the things around you. It's really fun. I know I sound like a card, but it's true. I'm a teenager now and everyday, I learn something new. It's just a time where everyone has to face.

Don't let your guard down, they can smell fear!
Sure it is expensive in this day and age. They are constantly growing and needing new clothes. They feel pressured in wearing what their friends are wearing - Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Hollister...
But if you raise your kids right, teaching them the values of money and how to spend wisely - not to be materialistic - you will be able to clothe your teens with nice clothes, that aren't an arm and a leg.
I actually love the teenage years! I have a 14yr old daughter! She is a great kid!

Uh, me. Because I want to raise kids and they will turn into teenagers and I will still love them and raise them when they are that age too! Teenagers are nothing to fear, they just take a different kind of care. No less than a child or a baby, just directed differently. I think there are plenty of aspects about adolscence that are way better than stages of childhood. But that is because there are great things about every age. It will be cool to see what kind of people my children become.

I've got 2 I'm raising right now, and that's two too many.
But I'd give my life for them, cause I know all the crap they're putting me through won't last, thank God.
