I put up the title to my mobile home to get a freind out of jail, it was to stand good for $5000 of the outstanding premium left to be paid by my freind but before he paid that $5000 and before he went to court ...my freind died of natural causes.....so what happens now? can they force me to pay that money ?

He's dead, the court should return the bail money. Call the courthouse.

Maybe, it's a court record document lien and is on the credit reports. It's already set up to take the house legally if you defaulted the bond. The Bond people would check these things out before granting a bond. If your house is worth enough to cover both bonds.

Yes, they can force you to pay. BUT, it has to go through Probate first. This means that your friend's assets will be sold & debts taken out accordingly. I suggest you just call the bondsman. This is a fairly frequent thing & most will just forgive the bond. (It's not like they have to appear in court anymore! - the court will forgive it as well)

If you don't turn in a certified copy of a death certificate to the court, the court may try to collect on the bond, which in turn comes back to you. get it together, quickly.
