Its pretty bad. It seems like the refs take a nap while the play is going on and then out of no where throw rediculous flags or ignore a very obvious penalty. They cant seem to get the plays right even when they get a second chance to look at them. But thats not just college thats the pros as well. I mean as many of them as there are out there you would think that they could get it right at least half the time. I have always thought that these refs need extra insintive to get the calls right. They need to be penalized for every bad call they make. Mike Curry would be out of a job by now.

It's getting better due to filming the games. I remember a friend called me from Nashville and told me his boss told him the fix was in on one of USMs games. The fix was in on the other side, but I will not mention the name. Anyway USM had over 300 yards in penalties and 4-5 touchdowns called back, but still won by 40. The announcer on radio kept saying they just threw a flag and there was no USM player around.

I remember LSU having balls intercepted in the 70s and the defensive guy would run like five steps and go out of bounds and they would say he didn't catch, even though on news that night showed it. Big Ten was like that also. They all did it. One team beat one at home and then they returned the favor and beat them. That's why different conference refs at games.

Even pro games get pretty bad. Last week first five downs offensive team should have been called for holding and then in college the guy doesn't even touch the guy and they call holding. Instant replay. Do you think Vegas has anything to do with it? Forgot about the teams that have gotten five downs, that used to happen a ton in the old days.

Its as it always has been. Mostly good, but sometimes terrible. In 1974, OSU and michigan state played a game where OSU had the ball in the final seconds and were down. They scored, but the officials couldn't decide if there was time left in the game. 40some minutes later, the big ten commissioner came out and called the game over.

Well the players shouldn't have been in the situation in the first place to start the contravercy of the calls of the ref.
