They keep on going up and up..... until they get to a certain height where the atmosphere is thin they pop into millions of little peices.

The aliens from Zeta Reticulus capture them and suck in the helium, because they like to make their voices funny, just like we do. Some forms of amusement are universal.

They end up in the tree in my back yard.
Seriously, we had a balloon land in the tree in my back yard. It was from an elementary school in Mississippi and that is several hundred miles away from me.

They go up up up until they get as high as theyre gonna go and they just drift along until their isnt enough helium to keep them up... then they drift back down to earth.

where ever those kids want them to go, we don't want to break their hearts by telling them they pop in the sky and make a mess in some ones yard.
