Grover would try to be the voice of reason and try to resolve the dispute.
Oscar would be the cheering section.
I thing the brawl would be between Bert and Ernie. I would put my money on Ernie because he always drives Bert crazy. Heeeheee! :-)

Oscar the Grouch because of the anger factor and plus who knows what he got in that trash can. He could possibly have a freakin' machette or an atom bomb in his trash can. He might also be trained to be a sniper, he's got plently of protection.
