Americans simply bend over and take it like they have for every other illegal constitutional amendment that he has initiated during his disastrous 2 terms in office? I think they would take it right up the tailpipe if Bush said that terrorists would kill them if they didn't agree wih him.

An amendment to the Constitution has to be passed by both Houses of Congress, and that would never happen. There is a good reason that the 2 term limit was instituted after FDR. It will never be repealed.

For those S-Ps who have just had their pajajmas scared off them. To amend the U.S. Constitution doesn't work that fast. The Amendment that would allow the president to succeed himself alone took most of FDR last term in office (3) and failed.even though he died.

There haven't been any Constitutional amendments for quite a while, well before Bush's' time. Amendments need states approval and this could take years.
I hate him too, but get your facts straight.

You don't seem to know just how hard it is to pass an amendment to the Constitution. If such an amendment were to pass, then the people will get what they deserve. No worries here, it wouldn't pass.
