Beatles, Led Zeppelin (although their stuff is mostly in the 70's) Buffalo Springfield, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape, Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, The Who, Cream (they r awesome), The Doors, Greatful Dead, The Mothers of Invention(Frank Zappa's band), Bob Dylan, CCR, Crosby Stills Nash (and sometimes Young). There are so many more too, but this is a good start
