No. I'll let bygones be bygones, Beegones...but you've got it all wrong, and must read the RIGHT history book on this most important part of our history.
It was actually the wife of Thomas Crapper, 'Flapper Crapper', who invented the toilet. You see, old Tom had a bladder and bowel control problem, and Flapper was sick and tired of cleaning up the mess from the house all the way to the outhouse. She, additionally was tired of getting those wooden splinters the outhouse offered, so needed to come up with another way. She toiled away toilet making...
Tom is the one who invented the TP--as he'd gotten poison ivy from wiping with leaves--so, to him I'd say, "Thanks for the butt-wipe (and sorry about the ash rash)!!"

As I grew up when there was no running water or toilets I would get down and kiss his feet. One of the greatest things we take for granted today. Unless of course you started off with an outhouse and lived in a cold state.
