When we see something that is beautiful or pleasing to the eye, we not only want to posess it- even if for just a few seconds- but we want to reaffirm our own worthiness/self-worth by experiencing that we deserve to/are allowed to/ accepted to touch that beautiful thing ....... which is why some of us will touch and/or get too near a thing that is truly attractive, even tho' we KNOW it is going to hurt us in some devastating manner ....... Like a Thistle ....... pretty to look at, sometimes sweet smelling, but if one gets too close to it it will tear you up .......

Pretty good question! It seems all of us are attracted to beautiful things that's why we want to have it or not hold the thing to satisfy our desires. It is a natural way to appreciate the beauty our eyes perceived. Beauty have been for a long time the most popular subject we would like to discuss. This is probably because we find contentment to the aesthetic value from it.

That's a good question. Maybe it -is- just to see if it's really real. Or maybe to experience a different sensory input such as smelling a beautiful flower.

It's part of our instinctual drive for a full sensory experience, and it tasting and smelling the beautiful object is allowed then we'd want to do that as well.

i honestly dunno but when i see something i like... it's like this human urge in me thats drawn to something that is beautiful and attractive...maybe its a natural human emotion not defined yet im not sure!
